Methodology

Tool Testing Methodology

How Toolsly checks tool behavior, output, privacy claims, and limitations.

Define the job

Each page states its accepted input, produced output, settings, runtime, and important limitations before the supporting explanation.

Check the result

We exercise the main conversion or calculation path and verify the downloaded format or displayed fields against the tool manifest.

Keep claims bounded

Privacy and compatibility claims follow the actual implementation. Server-assisted tools are identified instead of being described as browser-only.

Scope

These checks cover the web implementation and representative inputs. They are not a certification of every possible file, browser, device, or third-party service.
